Early Robotics

Early Robotics is an engaging program pathway designed for young, enthusiastic learners. This course emphasizes the development of a logical and sequential thinking approach that is essential for future programmers. It combines this skill with problem-solving, engineering design, and the cultivation of critical thinking abilities. Students will have the opportunity to craft a variety of models, starting from basic sensor-equipped rovers and advancing to intricate, fully operational vehicles. They will engineer floodgates, simulate earthquakes, and create scenarios that push their understanding to new limits, all while having a great time exploring the world of robotics.

“Sometimes a technology is so awe-inspiring that the imagination runs away with it.” – Daniel H. Wilson.

Customized project-based challenges enable students to generate novel and useful solutions to real world situations, a skill that has become critical to leverage knowledge success.

Level 1

ER01 : Intro to Robotics

This level consists of a series of 10 sessions that progressively enhance the grasp of constructing with blocks. These sessions also delve into the integration of gears and pulley mechanisms to add motion to the creations. The primary emphasis is placed on hands-on construction and the mechanics governing it. Through this program, participants will cultivate spatial awareness while gaining foundational insights into gears, pulleys, and belt mechanisms. Additionally, this level introduces basic programming concepts to initiate the development of sequential logic skills.

Level 2

ER02 : Sense and Respond

At this stage, participants advance from their foundational comprehension of robots and sensors. Expanding upon the mechanical principles established in ER-01, this level introduces students to sensors and guides them in programming behaviors driven by sensor input. As they navigate the array of challenges presented at the conclusion of each session, students not only enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities but also foster collaboration to attain the most effective results.

Level 3

ER03 : Discover Space

This level is an application level where participants engage in constructing and programming diverse LEGO-scale models based on the space theme, such as rovers, landers, satellites, and more. Through this process, an exceptional avenue unfolds to delve into the realm of space, enriching your understanding of the subject and reinforcing your scientific fundamentals. Each session employs fundamental programming skills to set the LEGO creations in motion. This program stands as an exceptional avenue for holistic knowledge development, all while embracing an enjoyable and entertaining approach.

Level 4

ER04 : Animatronics

Within this level, every session centers on the construction and exploration of a specific animal. Through the building process, participants gain insights into the diverse mechanisms employed for moving without wheels. Simultaneously, the learning modules delve into cultivating general knowledge regarding the animal, its habitat, and the unique adaptations that distinguish it. Lastly, programming exercises nurture the development of logical thinking, enabling participants to impart specific behaviors to their builds.

Level 5

ER05 : Code Level Up

In this concluding stage, students advance their programming logic by crafting intricate behaviors, including the creation of line-following robots and remote-controlled cars, among other projects. This level is primarily dedicated to honing the skills required for devising more intricate programming structures, before they graduate to using more advanced platforms.
